SFS Account Clerk II/III - Central Office Position Type: Secretarial/Clerical/Accountant Date Posted: 2/2/2026 Location: School Food Service Closing Date: 02/16/2026 QUALIFICATIONS Thorough knowledge of accounting practices Governmental accounting experience Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or relevant degree preferred Physical and mental stamina and ability to perform job functions, tasks and duties. REPORTS TO: School Food Service Supervisor SUPERVISES: Non-Applicable TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months PAY GRADE: 25 (No Degree) / 27 (With a Degree) JOB GOAL: To support financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing,investigating, and reporting financial data. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitors the SFS budget Prepares and coordinates bid documents as required by the district, state and federal regulations and ensures correct information is entered into the SFS software system . Keeps abreast of changes in policies, procedures, or requirements, pertaining to the Child Nutrition Program to ensure compliance Tracks expenditures and balances Prepares necessary reports (financial and statistical) both scheduled and special requests. Monitors bank deposits Checks manager's deposit slips against bank statements for accuracy. Works with SFS Cafeteria Managers in accounting for food orders Reviews SFS invoices to ensure charges are compliant with the appropriate bid items Assists in audits and Department of Education and USDA requirements Performs a wide variety of similar duties as needed Completes annual professional standards requirements and professional development events as required. Adheres to all Iberville Parish School Board Policies Reports job-related injuries within 24 hours of a work accident to the immediate supervisor. Assumes responsibility for implementation of emergency procedures. Seeks and maintains a positive attitude of promoting school and community relations. Participates in and promotes harmonious working relationships with students, colleagues, parents and community members. Attends meetings as directed. Serves on task force and decision-making committees, when appropriate.
