Job Summary:
The Document Control Specialist is responsible for managing all documents identified in the Master List of Controlled documents.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Quality Specific
• Creating, distributing, and revising all Quality Control Inspection procedures/department manuals, workmanship standards and travelers
• Verifying and revising document content to match applicable drawings, product samples and manufactured goods
• Conducting yearly verifications per QC-OP-007
• Assist with database consolidation/network file migrations and improvements
• Assist with the creation and form fill of Inspection training records
• Conduct document control audits
• Support Quality Control, Production, and Engineering functions as requested by the Department Manager
Organization
• Creating the document matrix and assigning applicable nomenclature to the header & footer of each controlled document
• Creating document templates for workmanship standards, department manuals, and travelers, etc.
• Issuing, distributing, and archiving the Controlled Document Review required for revision and inclusion of documents into the QMS.
• Loading all documents to the MLCD located on the BPS Intranet Site
• Training all personnel to adhere to QC-OP-006 document control procedure

Education and Experience:
• Associates degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in Quality Control required.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• Will occasionally push/pull from 11-25 pounds.
Work Environment:
• The work performed is in a warehouse and office environment.
• The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
